Pol Opuesto, Mala Hierba - Bonarda

Filled with intense dark fruits, cassis, figs. This is the same variety as Douce Noir often grown in Piedmonte in Northern Italy. Try this with tomato based pasta dishes, a lamb ragu would be superb!

About the Winemaker
If Pol Andsnes could only make wine in Argentina from one variety, it would be Bonarda. Terroir is truly important to Andsnes: he spent five years searching for the right vineyard up at 1100m in the Uco valley. Here, an organic farming style is embraced, allowing other native flora to grow amongst the vines to keep a more natural environment and improve the quality of the soils.
